Zookeeper

With a sound that ranges from the full spectrum of heavy hitting west coast bass to world tribal beats, Zookeeper’s music captivates his listeners in an aural story that keeps the audience entranced in dance. Zookeeper is the moniker of northern Californian producer Jesse Bhairo. After growing up in Texas listening to bluegrass and fiddle, he spent 17 years immersed in the dynamic metropolis of San Francisco and later moved to the lush foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. These experiences gave his music a diverse influence of both the vibrant culture of the city and the tranquil flow of nature’s rhythms.

His musical studies span classical guitar at the age of 5 to ancient Hindustani ragas recorded on clay tablets in India, and includes music history from cultures all over the world. Many of his tunes were inspired by and use animal samples from his travels in South and Central America, where Jesse spent months communing with indigenous tribes and learning from the plants and animals of the rainforest. Throughout his journey as an artist, Jesse has performed alongside cutting edge musicians in the West Coast Bass and rave scene such as Diesel Boy, Andrellien, Ant-ten-ae, and Minnesota.
shared his art at legendary events and stages including Emissions Festival, Burning Man, Opulent Temple, 1015 Folsom, and the iconic Shoreline Amphitheater. He is also the co-founder of the Long Strange Dream Collective which curated conscious events including the Soulstice gathering, Ascential Bass, and collaborations with the Emerald Bass collective. His music will transport you on a voyage through time and space, from the jungles of Columbia and the temples of India to planets and dimensions yet unexplored. Zookeeper weaves together the ancient wisdom of disappearing cultures to the utopian synths of the future, alchemizing the mechanical with the mystical. The result is a timeless style that unifies world cultures and generations of our youth and ancestors in the universal language of vibration and sound
